How to register

You can register an Australian mobile phone number3 or an email address as a PayID. To create a PayID you'll need an eligible CommBank account, and the latest version of the CommBank app. To get started with PayID, follow these simple steps in the CommBank app:

Using the NAB Mobile Banking app 

  1. Login and go to the Menu, then select the PayID option.
  2. If you have an eligible transaction account, the form may be pre-populated with details you might like to use for your PayID. If your mobile number or email address is out of date, you can update them in ‘My details’.
  3. Select the eligible account you would like to link to your PayID.
  4. Choose the PayID type you wish to create – email address, phone number or business number.
  5. Select a PayID short name from the options provided, to help identify your PayID.
  6. Complete the process, including accepting the PayID Terms and Conditions, and your new PayID is ready to go.


Using NAB Internet Banking
  1. Login and navigate to Settings, then select the PayID option.
  2. On first creation, accept the PayID Terms of Use.
  3. Select the eligible account you would like to link to your PayID.
  4. Choose the type of PayID you want to create - email address, phone number or business number.
  5. Input your PayID details.
  6. Choose a PayID name from the options provided, to help identify your PayID.
  7. Complete the process and your new PayID is ready to go.
